1995 Dodge Intrepid 3.5L. 196K

Currently won't start. Spins over fine. NO CEL at all. Key dance does not work.

A week ago, wife ran it hot. Not 'car quit running' hot but pretty high on the temp gauge.
Replaced waterpump and timing belt. Everything was fine...pulled it out of the garage, let it run for about 1/2 hour, checked for leaks. Following day replaced radiator cap and t-stat. Again pulled it out of garage to make sure everything was OK. Ran for 1/2 hour and everything fine. Autostick was installed at the same time the wp and tb was put in.
Yesterday buttoned everything up...put the front bumper back on and put in new headlights. Started it up to pull it out of the garage. Started to run rough and threw code 43. Shut it off and took off the neg battery cable. Waited 10 minutes and put it back on. Started it and ran fine...no check engine lights. Took it for a 5 minute drive, drove fine and autostick worked.
Today started it up, ran rough and check engine light came on. Drove to work (1 mile) and shut it off. Came out this afternoon, started it up. Ran for rough for 10 seconds with check engine light on and then it just shut off. Now won't start at all...and no check engine light at all to pull a code.

Question...would putting on the bumper cover maybe knocked a wire loose going to the PCM? Or did the PCM take a dump? All other lights come on normally except for the autostick shifter...it illuminates in 1 even though it is in park.

Anybody?

Looks like a junkyard PCM is in my future, but I'll check over fuses and relays first just to be sure.

***Update*** Underhood 20 amp fuse was blown. Swapped it with a 30 amp. Started hard, then caught. Ran for 10 seconds and blew that one. Now has a 40 amp in there....I know I shouldn't do that...starts. Codes are 12, 43, 55.
Question...the ASD relay clicks when I put in the fuse, without the key in the ignition. Is this normal?

will the fuse blow with just the key on? put a 20amp in it and just turn the key on. if it blows, then unplug the ecu change the fuse repeat.

Update....
Started to take it apart and noticed that the coil was bad....one of the 3 coils was shorted...it cooked so much that it cracked and the goop had started to ooze out.
Checked the wires going to the coil. Noticed that on #3-#6 wire (red wire) there was a wire spliced into it, and it went to the driver side over the radiator. I pinched the wire off when re-installing everything, and it shorted out the coil.
Wire that was spliced into it was for the aftermarket alarm that is now very disabled. It runs and drives now, and Autostick is working fine and dandy!

Thanks Veeborg for your help and suggestions.
