Instead of writing out the details just click the link and check out what this guy did to his trep, the only problem is no pics.

320 is what he said the engine made stock. remember he said they sheved the heads, ect. and now get over 400. *puts up the bullshit flag*

since when does the stealth had an R/T 10 motor? the vipers have those.

he may have had a stealth RT/TT motor, but the RT/10 is in the Vipers.

hmm yes, the power ratings seem way too high. What are the specs on a stealth motor anyways?

i've seen a stealth rt/10 before but no way it has the viper engine. the rt/10 engines probably have different sizes like the magnum engines w/ the v6 magnum and v8 magnum.

I don't think so dude. This is what a Dodge Stealth RT Twin Turbo looks like:

(Geocities so you have to copy and paste in a new browser window)

The Stealth was never called an RT/10. I too have to call BS on this guy. If he had actually gone through the trouble of that engine swap I am quite certain he would know the difference between a TT V6 and a V10. The Tranny is a whole other issue. Not to mention if you have a Stealth RT/TT with a working motor why the hell are you scrapping it to put the engine in a Trep? (No offense to Treps, god love em!) It doesn't make any since.

But hey I guess it could happen. I too won't believe it till I at least see pictures.

The private message feature on Sounddomain doesn't seem to be working. I put a response in his guestbook. Let's see if he responds. :)

Total BS story. The Stealth is a tranverse mount engine and the trep is front to back

Motor mounts would not be close at all.
Transmission bell housing is totally different.

He should have actually looked under the hood of a trep before he made up his story.

That's a crazy a$$ story! I completely agree about the mounting. There aint a damn RT/10 steath I know of with a V10. RT/10 is Viper as to my knowlege which is a V10.

There is no way as to my knowledge he could use the stock tranny and have it work properly for any decent length of time and it would be difficult to go aftermarket. It used to feel like my 99ES 3.2L used to really push the Ultradrive type tranny at times and I'm sure it did. It had to be overhauled at just about 30,000 miles! I didn't always hot rod it either and maintained it well and properly.

I am not one to wanna doubt people since there have been people that have doubted me on this site when I have been telling the honest damn truth but I'm not personally sure of this one.

You found a very interesting claim however. I'd like to some pictures. If it is true I'm sure it would be the fastest trep but how long would the tranny work and think about the torque steer in the FWD when hotrodding. You'd like crash or get out of control with that type of jerk on the steering with all that torque! Especially with these trannys!

Later guys,
MoparPerformance

I know this story is bullshit but imagine if anyone got something like this to work. That would be sweet. I would love to see the face of an unsuspecting Mustang or Camaro of some sort when you race them with a 320+ HP Intrepid. :D

Same here, see the one by hotintrepid, that's mine, no reply yet

I've looked into this quite a bit, but from what I have found I don't think it can be done with the mistubishi r/t (transverse)motor, but it can be done with the other one(non r/t?) with a shitload of work

Bryan

I just talked to him again & found out if all the hardware fits under the hood we mgiht be able to do it, if you want a copy of our conversation e-mail me [email protected]
