I have to regretfully inform all those members in the US that have asked me to try to find 300M or Intrepid leather door trim panels that I will no longer be able to do so.
The shipping price for that size itme has dramatically increased as of April 1.
The shippers - and all are the same now - began all charging for what they call volume weight for large packages. They have a formula that charges the length X height X width divided by 175 to come to a shipping "weight", which is now the charge.
Doesn't matter if the actual weight is 1 lb., the charge is by volume.
The package of panels I sent yesterday weighed 60 lbs - when I sent a set to Treppenwolf, the charge was 89$ - yesterday was 188.29 for exactly the same thing, but only to Chicago.
I cannot afford to take that kind of loss, and I'm sure you fellows are not going to want to pay that exorbitant shipping price.
I will continue to get the "normal" smaller items, but stuff like this - or exhausts, etc, if you really want it, we'd have to work out a meeting or something
Canadain shipping on them is the same, but at least the rate structure is lower.
