hey guys, first post here so please.. go easy on me :)

I've been on a quest to modify the lighting in my '98 concorde for the past month or so, and tried a few things and i wanted to share my findings with you all.

First: Changing all the instrument lights with common blue 194 bulbs found at any autozone or advanced, cost me about 10 bucks to do the whole thing. looked decent, i also added a 6" black light bar under the plastic housing, mounted to the steering column.

the only pic i have is here:

This resulted in initially a deep turquoise color, which i liked but it faded rather quickly due to the fact that the bulbs are merely painted blue, thats all that i could get a hold of at the time, i know they offer gelcaps and whatnot but i expect the result is the same.

Secondly: I recently found on ebay of all places, a vendor out of hong-kong that manufactures LED 194 automotive bulbs in an array of colors that seemed neat, a pack of 10 cost me 9.99 plus 10 bucks in shipping. it took about 2 weeks to get, and i just finished installing them tonight in my dash and interior lights.
Immediately i was impressed, not only are the lights very bright, but also allowed for the dimming that was either from my door timer or the manual switch on the dash. below i have a few decent pics of them.
One odd note i noticed that when installing the bulbs, if they dont work when you test them, take it out and turn it 180 degrees so the prongs on them are opposite on how you installed them. i dont exactly know why they are like this, but they will work that way. i do not know how long they last, im going to assume that its going to be a lot longer then a standard 194 bulb.

Here are the 3 pics:

i hope that this was helpful or at least tolerable to read, i will be posting pics soon of the repairs as i do them to kinda help the second gen-er's with things or at least shed some humor on the repairs i do :) thanks for lookin -adam m.

Looks good :) I would change out the leds for your signals, etc if you can. See my sig to get an idea.
i do have LED turn sig bulbs in the rear, i got em at wal-mart of all places on clearance for 1$ each. it gives the rear a different look altogether which i like, but at the same time it absolutely sucks if you use them for brake lights, they simply cant output the amount needed, then again... this is wal-mart were talkin about here :)

a few more weeks and i will hunt down some 3157 style bulbs from hong-kong, like the 194s on ebay, unfortunately i just dropped a good deal into the AC on the beast.

BTW- nice pics you got there, ill take some nice pics when it finally stops raining long enough and i actually can wash it.
