Painting the interior??? I would assume you mean the dash and plastic stuff????

yeah i am talking about the plastic, like around the stereo, you can buy interior paint that wont smell it looks normal too. i am just wondering what color would go good with a black car and gray interior

I'd say black would look pretty good. Or perhaps red. Not too much doesn't go with black and grey.

You could also get dash trim kits.

i did the inside of mine marron and it came out great. also did the front and back doors as well.

I painted the pastic trim on my dash, speaker grilles, trim around window switches, and the ash trays in the back bright red It turned out pretty good, smells kinda funny for a week....just go get a 3 pack of air fresheners

do you havea a pic of these i'm debating whether or not to do them. the window switch trim in case you don't know what i'm talking about.

i'll agree with pimped3point3, the smell doesn't last very long at all, i did this mod to several of my vehicles and the smell doesn't last long.

Just out of curiosity, what paint is this??? I'm always open to tried and proven products...

It's made by Lawson products. It's a high solid enamil paint, we use the stuff to paint the steel wheels on the buses, the stuff stick to anything(old paint, rust,) don't matter how dirty the surface its looks sharp.

i love that white it loks really cool i'm just waiting for the paint to cure and they'll be on...i didn't however get the door pieces. I can't figure out how to get them off.

do you do this or did you mask the area? i rather not do that

for my panels on the doors, i just masked the spots to not get paint on the sides

Krylon just came out with a new paint line called "Fusion." Its made specifically for plastic and plastic like surfaces. Works really good.

To get the door trim off to paint them, you have to remove the door panal ( 1 screw behind the door handle, 1 in the hand hold, and 3 on the botton) lift up on the panal and remove the pull rod off the door handle, and remove the power lock button(two screws). Now the hard part, carefull loosen the 4- 10mm spring nuts from the back of the door handle trim, and remove. To get the accual door handle off, remove the stop plug of the back, pull the handle as to open the door, watch the return spring it may fack off on ya, and slid it out. Paint away and do the reverse to install.
