I found a 2.7 with slightly over 61k miles in my local auto parts recycling yard for $680.00. While the engine is out of the car and easier to access are there any modifications I should make before the excitement of installation?
Thanks for any help and advice

What year of engine? What year is your car? If you're set on replacing your 2.7 with another one, there are some things you'll have to change depending on the years... That's not a bad price, but that's too many miles to be using it as a replacement motor IMO... I'd also buy it, and then turn around and list it on eBay. You'll get $1000 out of it EASY! Then you can buy a 3.2 or a lower mileage 2.7...depending on what you want. I just finished my 99 to 03 2.7 swap, and I'll have a how-to up shortly addressing the changes I had to get the 03 motor into my Trep.... Pretty simple, but there are a few differences...
