Man, that car looks sweet. Definately looks a lot better once they got rid of the whole NASCAR themed stickers... Although I would have kept the Dodge stickers and the big rams head on it..

Here are the Motorsport production figures one of our members, Redblurr got from corporate :

(They do not include the Dakota trucks or Neon Motorsports).

Motorsport prod

AAC426. the flame red that came on the motorsports cars was also available on Canadian Intrepids cars for 2001 , though not on a motorsport package. Yes the M/Sport package was a U.S option only. As for numbers I found this
Motorsports (ACM Package): 2001
Intrepid SE - 584
Intrepid ES - 242
Intrepid RT - 383

Hey Moparman, can you get the build lists for the 2001 RT? I have seen conflicting numbers here so I am not sure what the true numbers are. I would really appreciate the facts about how many were built from Dodge. Thanks!

Dakota's would be something like 1,028 total, spread across 2 different cab configurations, trim levels, and engines all the way up to the 5.9L, and Neon's is the rarest of them all being only 87 Total Motorsports made (ES,SE, RT).

I ran my 2.7 for 137,000 before pulling out to install the 3.5. The 2.7 was still runnig stong and is still running to this day but lacked the power of the 3.5. A few grand for an orginal motorsports is not bad deal since the wheels and tires are worth a mint.

I saw a Motorsport Neon that my dealer sold. The original owner still has it and was in an accident (I saw it at the body shop). Of course he had a tire blown and couldn't get the same tire for a replacement. Anyway the guy loves his Neon. He's really pissed that he can't get the yellow Goodyear Nascar tires though.

I do not believe there was ever a white Motorsports Intrepid
I saw 2 white ones over time. I was told they never made a silver one (even though I own one).

Just pulled out my Motorspots flyer and it says available in Flame red*(* unique to motorsports vehicles on intrepid) Black,or Silver.

I think YB could clear it up.

I have a brochure for the Motorsports which also states 4 colors, red, black, silver and white.

Is one of your dogs a greyhound ?
