The days are getting shorter. Very noticeable now. Nights are cooler. Daytime hasn't been too bad lately, surprisingly, however last weekend, we were reminded that winter is not far away. Rain is more consistent. Work is busy. Car is DIRTY.
I don't know if it is going to be clean again until next spring. I was going to take it to the car wash today, but I got busy. I was going to wash it by hand however the weatherman was calling for showers, and guess what, it started to rain at dinner time.
So much for those warm days of summer. So much for those extended daylight hours. So much for the gleam of my jet black R/T.
Oh, how I hate winter.

yeah, it blows.. but hey thats what we deal with in the north. its not all that bad, summer will be back soon. Have the car sparkling all the time again. I have to give it a nice coat of wax before winter sets in though.

I agree with you both. I'm from Toronto and drive a Platinum '98 ES. Its really dirty right now, makes me cry. Anyhow, hopefully we'll one last warm front and i'll be able to give 'er a good wash and wax before the snow hits.... anyhow goodluck with your cars.

That's why I was glad I bought a white car. In the winter, it really hides the salt. :)

One good thing about winter, though, is that your windshield and the rest of the front of the car won't get full of bug splatter. Salt washes off easy...bugs often do not.

Thankfully I don't really have to worry too much about the extreme cold weather that we're sure to have at least a few days this winter because of the standard-equipment engine block heater and battery warmer. :D

However, nothing looks quite like jet black when it's perfectly clean and shiny, so for that, I am a little envious of your black cars. ;)

The black ends up looking white...the white ends up looking black. The black shows the swirls and the white shows the tiniest little rust spot. You never win!
Although I have black, ...siver or gray gets my vote for easiest color to keep clean, doesn't show rust, and no swirls.
