Hey I got a new Jacobs catalog today. I was looking at these ignition setups similar to MSD's, but they claimed far superior. I called to see what they had for trep's. Guy said middle of August they should be coming out with a whole ignition setup. Can't wait to see some test data on that. Did not say how much though.

Just got an email back from them. They said that they cannot disclose any info yet, but it will boost performance, and economy. Most of the other cars it boosted the hp 15-20 and mpg 3-7. Not to bad.

HOw difficult is it to install those new ignition systems.. I've been considering ordering one for my 3.5 but have no idea the undertaking I"d be getting into. I'm a novice at best but a quick learner.. got any advice?

They say it is a 20 minute job on most vehicles for theirs. If you do wires too of course that is longer

I purchased a set of Jacobs wire for my 97 Intrepid back in 98, they said they were working on a prototype ignition set up for the first gen Intrepids, and the would send me a news letter when they become availible.
I haven't seen anything yet, but the wires are hott. KDOGG

15-20HP eh? If those figures are real, then I think I will consider getting one. I always thought they would only give you a few HP at most....apparently not!
And how will the price of the unit compare to the MSD DIS-4 System?
Thanks.
