I just found out last night how my Special feels at 120-125mph. Not in a good way either and with some traffic around. Previous to this, I had only hit 100 once before so this is not a normal thing for me.

Heading home following my wife on a three lane interstate, she gets over from the berm lane to the middle lane to pass. I get blocked in by traffic, she waves to let me around her right side so that I can lead. Ranger with a cap on it comes barreling up my a$$ not wanting to get stuck and decides he wants to cut in front of my wife with me, pushing her into the left lane with traffic in it. I see this and instantly get furious.

Then he jets out to the far left lane cutting off another vehicle after my wife had been laying on her horn. So, waiting, I roll my windows down at 70mph (65 limit) yelling and screaming at him along with some other choice gestures for what an idiotic move he made twice and because, you don't mess with my wife. None of the three people in the cab ever acknowledged me, the guy driving or the two female passengers.

Then as I am in steady traffic in the middle lane with my wife now behind me and he passing, he comes up on another truck in his lane and decides he wants back over in the middle lane cutting me off. I held on the horn for a good 2 minutes making sure he knew he had tipped the scale now.

I am never one to get road rage, but I was set off the deep end. So, as soon as he gets around his next victim, he pulls the move once more and gets around the vehicle in the fast lane, I cut in behind the vehicle he just passed waiting to get around the vehicle in the middle lane.

As soon as I got into the clear, I nailed it, cutting all the way over to the berm lane and back into the middle lane where there was no traffic. He had a good 1/2 mile lead by that point.

I was at 120mph in seconds chasing this idiot down. Wife took a few more seconds to catch up to me as I was surprised she followed, but I tagged him down, road along side of him, still with no acknowledgment so I just sped up and got in front of him as the wife came up behind him.

Still running a good 90mph he gets over to the far right berm lane for which I then proceed to get over and hold the middle lane as he is coming up on a semi in the berm while the wife stayed in the fast lane blocking all his options. I'm still going off on this guy as he completely ignores me. I will say I must have scared home quite a bit as he got off at the very next exit (spaced about 15 miles apart at this point) where there is nothing! No gas, no food, no shops, just country roads.

He must have figured he owned the road and no one was going to do anything about it.

Sorry to make this into a long story. However, on a positive note, I can safely say my car was fast, and I mean FAST from that 70-120+ speed. Wife said her car was topped out on the speedo and I barely looked down once to see what I got up to.

It sure was a rush in many more ways than one and left my heart thumping for quite a few miles after that. It was just a rough drive home last night.

Well, I'm NOT proud of my actions but when it come to my family and friends, I will not put up with that kind of stupidity. He harmed my wife (unknowingly that we were following each other) and that got me going. Then to see him do it to another and myself, I could not let it go. It's one of the only times I have ever let my temper take over me like that.

Had it just been me I never would have gone chasing after him. I would have fumed and then let it go. My wife is my life and for him not to even acknowledge his wrongdoings was the reason I could not let it go, even though I probably should have.

If you'd ever had a gun pulled on you for reacting back at a fool, as I have, you would just thank God that fool didn't hit you and go on your way. (And maybe prayed for a "little" accident to happen to him).
