First off, there are NO plastic models of the first gan LH's. Trust me, I worked at a hobby shop for three years I've looked through every catalog I could get my hands on, and talked to plenty of people about it. Secondly, Any model can be taken apart and repainted, especially diecasts. While I havn't seen one of these up close, most diecasts like this are snap/screw which means everything either snaps or screws into place. Odds are you are going to break one of the snapping devices so keep a small bottle of super glue handy and you should be fine, just dont go overboard on the glue! If you have never built or modified a model before, PM me and I'll walk you through it, its really easy.
Cool. I've done a few back in the day. I have an S7-71 plane hanging over me right now. I spent months assembling, sanding & filling joints, painting and decals. Models are a labor of love and skill through time, IMO.
I found Cirrus, Stratus, LHS and Concord diecast models on Ebay. Cant find the Concord now, maybe its over.
