I have already removed my air restrictor, and I am ready to move on to the K&N filter, but I have some questions...hopefully some of you more experienced Intrepid owners can help me out here.

1) I have the 3.5L engine, am I stuck with just the square, direct replacement filter, or can I upgrade to the cylinder shaped filter I see on so many of the smaller engines?

2) If I can upgrade, are they sold in an entire kit ( filter, new housing, clamps, etc.) or will I need to buy the parts individually?

3) I'm just starting to learn my way around under the hood. If I can upgrade my filter system, will it be an easy upgrade, or should I have someone with some experience help me out?

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide. I also hope to have some of my "before" pictures posted soon. The "after" pictures will have to wait. I don't plan on being done with all of my upgrades until next spring. :D

Do a search for aitr filters or K&N or cone filters and you will come up with all the info you could ever want to know. (I am talking about the DI.net search not a general search engine).
