I am a rather new member (little over a month) and love this site. I have seen alot of posts regarding a K&N filter. Can someone fill me in as to why it seems so popular?

A K&N filter lets more air through to your engine. Also, when you replace a conventional paper filter, you throw the old filter away. With the K&N filter, it is reusuable. You can wash the filter and recharge it with the K&N recharge kit.

I should be getting a drop in K&N air filter this weekend for my car.
