Tail lights usually only have to be able to be seen from a certain distance in order to be legal. Usually doesn't matter what kind of bulbs...Originally posted by pimped3point3:
As far as I know, they are legal.

exactly, you need to be sure they are 15 led style, not 12Originally posted by ATFCharger:
Unlike the APC, they have LED's in the middle instead of just the outer edge
Well, this is what I would like to do. I would like to convert my tail-lights to an all LED setup. I would like to outline the perimeter (including the middle piece from far left to far right) with LEDs. Inside each tail-light, I would like to spell out "R/T". These would be lit when I have the head lights on (or just the parking lights or fog lights). Now when I go to hit the brakes, the whole tail-light (including the center part) would be lit up (for safety and visibility reasons). I think that would be sweet as hell. Talke about originality!Originally posted by swartlkk:
Has anyone thought of making a set of tail-lights like the ones on the newer Cadillacs? If anyone finds a set of tail-lights that they want to get rid of I will be glad to buy them from ya. I want to attempt a full LED tail-light. LED's are cheap especially when bought in bulk. And they will practically last forever.
What do you think of that idea and has anyone attempted it?
So what if you accidentally got twice as many as you needed???Originally posted by pimped3point3:
I can get all my LED's, wire, resistors, and whatnot for free.![]()
