Wow...I would like to think you made the paint appointment BEFORE you mounted the body kit so that you could look like every other ricer on the road. That body kit looks terrible IMO...all of those scoops do absolutely nothing, maybe if you hooked some of them up to do what they are supposed to, they would at least serve a function, but still be gay.
Who cares? It's HIS car not yours. My car has been unpainted for well over a year now. But I have no other car I can realiably drive and not enough money to do the kind of paint I want to do yet. So unpainted it shall remain till I can afford to do it RIGHT. The blitz kit is a sexy looking kit, to me anyway. I like the lines and the scoops. By the way 3 of the 4 scoops on mine are completely functional. The bigger scoop on the passenger side of the mouth funnels air to my cold air intake. While the 2 vents on either side serve as some nice places to put nitrous purge lines.

Call it gay if you like, but it's not your car. It's his, and if he likes it that's what matters.

Where do people get off talking so much **** about other peoples cars? What makes your car so much better? What makes YOU so much better? Personally I'd love to be able to kick everyone in the teeth who has or will talk **** about my car. But I've noticed a pattern that includes any of the following or a combinations thereof, and that has made me not care, and it is as follows:

They drive something stock.

Their car in all reality is shittier than yours.

They drive a car that everyone else "pimps" out so that makes it cooler because it's nowhere close to unique.

They're jealous.

They need to feel better about themselves.

They drive a "old skoo" muscle car. Which of course makes their cock 10 ft long and every other car on the road junk.

OR the biggest one.... they're just ****'n losers... period.

So don't sweat the cocks who think what they drive is so much COOLER than your car and that they're so much BETTER than you are. Chances are there are more people who hate them as a person than hate your car. Looks good IMHO, can't wait to see it painted.

For 15 years old? That's a hell of a nice progress report you've got on your ride so far.
I'm going to await the final painted product and mesh install to give you my honest opinion. ;)

So far looking good. Like others, I'm not crazy about the big mouthed tons of scoops bit, as a traditional dodge guy I like the crosshairs style better. But let's see that paint soon. :) IF you can, take some in progress painting high resolution pictures, and load them up!

So heres whats goin on with the trep right now.... i took the car to the paint shop yesterday to see how much it would cost to get painted and the guy said it would be about 400 bucks and that we have to take the kit off first, so we took it off yesterday and put back on the stock peices so i could drive to school. And then today my dad and i got all done sanding everything, and it will be sent to paint tomorrow, so im guessing it will be back the beginning of next week all painted. Im not shure if i can get some pictures in the painting proces becouse i will be off to school. But i will have some nice pictures as soon as its on.

why would you have to paint the kit off the car? what kind of paint shop are you dealing with?

My guess is he is getting the kit painted to mach his car currently, till he can afford to have the whole car painted with nice custom color like Burple

Since the side skirts are mounted where they go underneith the door when it shuts he said we should have to take it off, if we want it done RIGHT, and the same thing goes with the little details on the front bumber that go under the hood and such. And since im only fifteen and dont make much for money the car will probably stay all black untill im done with all the other mods i would like done... starting with some rims and exhaust.

yeah, i suppose that makes decent sense. I just dont like running the risk of damaging the paint on a body kit upon instalation. A decent painter shouldnt have trouble hitting the "hard to reach" areas on a body kit. I painted my friends buddy club2 kit on his civic and had no problems.

yea i wasnt expecting to hear that i had to take it off, but this guy is supposed to be the best in our town.... and i want it dont right. So the instillation time probably will take about a day or two becouse now we have to take our time due to paint. The whole thing turns out pretty expensive and i juss want it to look as best as possible.
