no your not rude. Dr gave her this patch and its working for her. She drives fine and she knows where she is. She knows everyone in the family. She isnt bad to the point to take her car away. She shops at the supermarkets everyday. U know how grandparents could get. If they dont shop they dont have a life. LOL. Now back to the lojack device type thing. I know they have chips in dogs to scan there necks to see there owners. But i dont think u can do that to a human HAHA. I just need a tracking device on the car just in case.

If you own a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram Truck vehicle and want to keep close tabs on it, Chrysler's Mopar parts division has just made it a lot easier. Starting at $459 (uninstalled), Mopar's new Electronic Vehicle Tracking System (EVTS) will alert the owner via text message if the vehicle has been driven beyond parameters set for distance and speed, making it perfect for parents of teen drivers.

Powered by Guidepoint Systems, the GPS-enabled EVTS plugs into any Chrysler, Dodge Jeep or Ram Truck with a 16-pin OBD-II port, and the base plan doesn't require a monthly subscription like some tracking systems. The Mopar EVTS comes in three packages: Basic, Silver and Gold. And the two higher level plans have a yearly fee.

The Basic package includes real-time GPS tracking and stolen-vehicle locating service, and comes with a $1,000 theft-protection warranty. The Basic package is also full transferable should the owner sell the vehicle.

The Silver package carries a $149 per year service fee and includes a Security Fence feature that lets an owner set the aforementioned distance and speed parameters for the car and receive a text message alert when they're exceeded. It also includes an OnCall emergency notification button, arrival and departure notification, historical trace maps of a vehicle's travels and real-time online tracking, up to 200 times a year.

The Gold package costs $249 a year and includes all of the features of the Silver plan and adds an ECall 24/7 emergency dispatching, unlimited online tracking and a concierge service. The Basic plan can be upgraded to the Silver, but the Gold plan is only available at the time of activation.
