I have a whining type of sound coming from the front of my engine. Only when the engine temperature is near the normal running temperature. The sound is almost like the whine you get on your car speakers when there is a ground problem. When I am driving over say 35 mph the sound goes away. Mainly the sound is when I am stopped or getting up to speed. I have recently had a leak in my radiator. I put in some stop leak and the leak has stopped. In the past the engine has run a little hotter than normal. But not always. Somedays at a stop light it would heat up others it would not. It has never over heated. The tranny leaks but so does the engine)) The fluids are all checked regularly. I am over 200,000 with this car.
Help me please!!

How did you get your wife/girlfriend under the hood? :D

But seriously... check the power steering fluid. That will whine like a ***** without enough fluid.

Man how dumb am I? I filled the power steering and the noise stopped. The over heating must have thrown me for a loop.

Thank you guys!
