The R/T engine has 242hp right? The SXT 3.5L has 250. How did Chrysler get 8 more horses (what exactly did they do/change?)

If I get an R/T I would like to make some small factory based mods to get the R/T up to SXT standards (ie, same power), while keeping all the other R/T bonuses (suspension set-up, etc etc etc).Then, I'll start working from there (ie, a CAI)

BTW, is the gearing the same in the R/T and the SXT?

But my '02 R/T still has the "3.5L High Output" badge on the engine. Does this mean it's an HO or a Magnum (like the trunk emblem shows)?
Or are you talking about the difference in the ES v R/T engines?

I'm in for the Hemi, too! Any ideas on how to shoe-horn that sucker into the engine bay?

Sorry, I wrote the original question right after I woke up. I was wondering if it was just an enigine name I.E. Hemi or if it actually means that the engine is a performance engine? I was actually asking because I am thinking of trading the trep in for a 01 neon r/t "magnum". The gas would be much better then my trep and there are tons of aftermarket parts out there for neons.
