I was out in my 'Corde going to class down the bronx river parkway the other day and I see this beat-up dirty looking blue whatever at the red light a ways up ahead. Well.. since it was just me and him and I didn't feel like breaking my momentum I figured I'd just breeze by him in the next lane. The light had turned green by the time I got there and I rolled past no problem. Then a blue blur shoots by in the other lane fast enough to peel the paint off my doors. Feeling very underpowered, I caught up with him at the next light to find out what I was up against. It may have been dented and dirty but it was still a....... BMW M5.

I had a chance to buy an imported 1993 E34 (last generation, this one is E36) M5 for $16,000. But alas, it didn't work out.

The previous generation were 350+hp I6s cable of going from 0-60 in about 4.5 and tearing off the 1/4 in about 13.2, bone stock.

Blow his doors off? Yup... little did he know I got bored and installed a NASA surplus rocket engine in the trunk last weekend. 0-60 in .35 seconds!

Man, that thing could move! I thought I could swing around those curves fast. Gotta put one of those on my "to buy" list. Now... where to get 70 grand? hmmmm
