Went racing yesterday at Mid Michigan Motorplex in Stanton, MI.
Good time had by all....
Weather wasn't bad (for Michigan)
No rain, good humidity, but very poor barometric pressure readings (29.7x's all day long)

We did our usual car prep..with a couple of additions:
-We ran 205/70-15 "skinnies" on the rear. I did this for two reasons, one to protect the 18" powdercoated wheels, and two to decrease the rolling resistance in the rear.
-We also ran a modified Dodge Intrepid passenger seat. This was a non-powered bucket seat. I had to take the seat to my welder and have the seat belt reciever moved to the inside of the seat. Got to have seat belts to race, and be legal!!

We ran the car with as little fuel as we could....we were using Sunoco GT+ 104 octane fuel. We all but ran the car out of gas prior to adding the GT+. I had lass than a half of a gallon in the tank when we started adding race fuel. The car was exceptionally light, and had less rolling resistance then ever before at the track.

We didn't get a PB as far as time goes, but we did break the 92 mph barrier as far is trap speed goes!!

Some things we learned....the car likes the skinnies!!!
We will be getting a true set of skinnies for the rear.
The lighter driver's seat is nice, and will come in handy!!

Before the fall racing season, a high stall torque convertor will be going in the car....That should knock a significant amount of time off the ET's!!

We shall see!!
