Here I am with 4 people in my 97 3.5 L Intrepi on 1-91. Im going 108mph around there id say,a dn all of a sudden a clug noise liek it stops sendign fuel and i just let off the throttle. Is that some chip that limits speed, my frind in is Chevy S-10 says it happens to him at 95 mph. Any idea what it is, and more importantly how to get rid of it. Thanks

Its the Govener, its saying "Naughty boy dont be going over the speed limit!"

Seriously, its a part of the computer, the only way to get rid of it is to get it re-chiped... other 3.5 owners might know if you can get it or not, I am 3.3

you could get a super-Sport (*) and then you wouldn't have a governor.

hey i have a 1993 ES and i have gone right around (or over) 120 miles per hour and it didnt quit or anything thats wierd, maybe the first year treps had a different chip or something
