I bought the flat mopar mud flaps for my R/T.

The screws have this rubber on them, is the rubber a cap I need to remove or do I just try to screw em in with the rubber still attached and it will pop off???

STUPID design IMO, there should be predrilled holes in each mudflap so you have a consistant pattern on each one

I've never had "Mopar" mud flaps but I have put on a few in my day. Seem to remember at least once having a set of flaps that came with hardware with a rubber/waxy material on the end of the screws. I believe this material is supposed to act as a sealant when you screw them in. Probably to keep road salt from getting into the mechanical joint between the hole you have to drill and the screw.

I could be full of crap but that's my guess??

that sounds about right, sturge. i installed my "INTREPID" mud flaps a month or two ago, and they had that same rubbery material on them. Same concept as a lock-nut.
