My New 98 Intrepid ES Sweeeeet

2879 Views 44 Replies 21 Participants Last post by  CLONE
Here are some pics of my new Intrepid. It's a 98 ES, it's been lowered 2 inches, tinted windows, custom rims and tires, custom NASCAR paint theme, spoiler, and hood pins. I love this car. I was involved in an accident in my 98 Ranger recently and purchased my Intrepid with the insurance money. I love the way the car rides and handles and can see why all you other Intrepid owners are so happy with your cars.

Just 1 quick question? Why is the trunk still Platinum, and doesn't match the rest of the car?

Other than that, it looks pretty cool. I like how the spoiler follows the paint job :)

Definately an Intrepid that is gonna stand out!
Wow.... thats some ****ing ride. Did you have that custom paint job done yourself... or did you buy it like that?

Sweet ass ride. The only thing I can say that needs improvement are your rims... maybe throw some 17s or 18s on there. What are those 16s? But hey thats my dumb opinion.

Can you take some more pics of that spoiler? That looks pretty good. How bout some closeups of it from different angles?
one more question?

can I grab some of these pictures for the picture section of the site?

later
Usually I don't like big spoilers, but that one looks cool to me :)
The link he posted was bad.

Here is the corrected one. More pics here... but I want to see even more pics of that spoiler. ****ing tight!

Thanks a lot. The car was originally white and some lady had wrecked it, and a body shop bought the car and fixed the minor damage and did all the customizing themselves. The theme of the car was done for the guy's youth pastor so he could go around preaching to kids and thought they would like the car. But the guy decided he didn't want it, so I bought it. You can use any/all of the pictures from my site. And I'll take some more detailed pictures of it soon. I have been pulled over in that thing twice now. The first time, I was test driving the car and the dealer forgot to put the plates on it and I got stopped and the cop thought I stole the car, so I got frisked and put in the cruiser til he called in and checked on it, and the second time was the day I got it for no light on my rear plate. But I haven't been pulled over in the past 2 days, lol.

That really sucks.

I'm sure it will attract cops!

On another note, I noticed that it's lowered 2". Just curious how it drives? Do you hit the front bottom a lot on driveways (I know you haven't had it very long, but am just curious).

Anyways, thanks for the pictures and your answers, and Welcome to DodgeIntrepid.Net :)

Thanks man. Yeah, I can take some more pics of the spoiler tomorrow, hopefully. I bought the car like that. It was wrecked with only light right front corner damage, and a body shop bought it and customized it like that this past month. I'm selling my old rims and tires from my truck which are still brand new and then I'm putting in an in-dash DVD player with a 7" screen and a screen in the back of each headreast. I'll put some more about my future mods on my website later. I just put that site up so some of my friends away at college could see. Thanks for the comments and suggestions.

Yeah, it likes to scrape in a lot of business entrances. We had 5 people in it and went through the drive thru at the local Taco Bell and scraped for about a 10 foot stretch. I will eventually get airbags once I get the money so I won't have to worry about it. Luckily it is just that black air dam that scrapes and not the bumper.
That is slicker than snot. The only thing that bugs me (call me an ass if you will) is that it says Dodge R/T, but is an ES...

Do the hood pins actually work? That would be cooler than a polar bear's toenails...
those hood pins bring back memories of my old 73 roadrunner
You should get one of the photoshop experts here to take my rims and throw them on your ride. Im positive it will make the car look even sweeter.
That's one dope ass ride bro, I'm curious, how did you lower your car? Did you have it lowered or did it come dropped?

yeah other than calling the ES an R/T it is a sweet ride! (get that trunk painted!)

heh, photoshop my wheels onto it :)
That ride is definately dope! Really clean! Not to be a punk but the only thing I seriously don't like is the wheels. They look kinda ghetto aftermarket. I'd get some stock 16" ES Aluminum starblade wheels at the worst, not chrome or nothing or better yet some R/T wheels. Here's some of my personal custom picks I was actually considering fittin' on my ES at one time......

I think these would look clean....

I didn't see any Mopar logo's, you'll have to grab a Mopar Performance Catologue and get some of those to really make it look dope?? Doesn't Holly still make the throttle body units for treps? I'd get some fat Holly decals too if you don't already have some on there. But that's just me.

Really nice car though!
Take care guys!

Yeah, they are functioning hood pins. But after you remove them, you still have to pull the hood release. Yeah, the body shop put the R/T decal on there, but everyday people probably won't know the difference unless they are an Intrepid owner.
