OK-I'll have to give Randy a great deal of Kudo's (a.k.a. MAD PROPS) He did, after all, host my 1.2M video so you all could see it
DCREPID'00 vid of duals

I HAD to make a video, to hear how it sounded outside the car-I propped my camcorder on top of a garbage can (no less) strategically placed and took a few runs.

You may even be able to see my 'vanity' tags DCREPID
Everyone that sees it digs it(my plates) although I neither think of my car as being broken down or worn out, nor is decrepit spelled the same-DCREPID INTREPID-is it irony or some other vocabulary word that eludes me at the moment?

I've also gone the way of MoparPerformance and installed the K&N Intake Kit-and with both of these mods I'll have to change my sig

The dual exhaust setup is with a Flowmaster 80 series in place of the OEM muffler and then Mandrel bent pipes out the back-as a Camaro or perhaps you've seen Thrashers pics

For now we just cut the pipes at a 45 and let them be but Tips will be coming soon, perhaps by the end of the week-thank god the viewable portions are already rusted

Let me know what you guys think and for you guys wanting to do duals I hope the video helps you decide Flowmaster or Dynomax or whatever

cost

the Flowmaster 80 cost 114 from a place on the cape called Discount Performance- I maybe could have gotten it cheaper from Summit but then have to deal with shipping and warrenty issues if they were to arise-this place would just take it back and restock it so I was like whatever

My original deal for the duals was $5/foot of pipe(usually $10/foot) and half of his usual labor $65/hr so $32.50/hr
He also has his new toy the Pro-Bender 2000 a hydraulic press so the pipes are Mandrel bent(no crimps at the corners for full flow) There was alot of eyeballing so it took 5 hours non-stop

Ok you thought that was a good deal-he only charged me $150
A reminder-this was not a custom shop or an exhaust specialist it was just some Ma&Pa shop I found-he needs word-of-mouth advertizing and he'll def get it from me-it goes a long way on the cape!

MoparHead!!!- what are you foing this weekend were only 20 mins away from eachother and I've already met up with Dave(Valhalla) in Boston

Wow, nice......! Cool a$$ video man, I watched it like 5 times at work............ Nice to see some cool videos commin' along..... Hopefully we'll see this type of stuff in the Multimedia section sometime...........

Do you have a glasspack or not with the FM80's.......?

Nice job............. Love the video.........!

I have Dynomax Exhaust and a Blue Streak glasspack on my 2.7L, sounds nice but too damn smooth at times...... I'd like mine to sound a little more rough like yours when the gas is punched hard. It sounds low and deep but usually only at cruise in like 3rd or 4th gear. Over 65MPH you can't even hear it no more. I have been thinking that removing my glasspack may help but I'm not sure.

OK, a Flowmaster 80. You said you replaced the stock muffler, which one? I'm thinking that you kept the one closest to the cats and replaced the other two with the one Flowmaster 80. Good video, but how about more details? And, please be honest .... how is the sound inside? Some of us (me!) are oooold with families so we don't want or need alot of interior noise, just a nice sound OUTSIDE! Thanks.

just the 80

I cut out the muffler AND resonator and just put on the FM 80 and put straight pipes out the back so no other resonator exists and the interior resonance is not all that bad-noticable but you could even have a decent conversation with a back seat passenger
heres some pics

DCrepid - that sounds pretty sweet. Its almost the same setup as mine, except right now i'm lacking an intake and i used a Dynomax Superturbo w/ 3" pipes instead of the Flowmaster like yours. lol, mine was cheaper though - $100 because my bro did it for free. He just got the shop keys for a weekend and i went to visit

nice vid!

ah yes, that setup i too have the resonator and rear muffler gone.

i had the flowamster 80 and wound up dicthing them because of the incabin resonance, it was way bad.

removing the glasspack isnt gonna make much of a difference on volume, it seems to take the rasp out of it.
