Well last night they came in. I had ordered a set of new headlights from ebay and installed them last night. let me tell you, it was a night and day(no pun intended) difference! I can see soooo much clearer now. If you guys have been noticing your headlights strating to haze over a bit i highly recommend getting new lights. I'm not talking about the bulbs, but the actual headlights.

And when you consider that Dodge wanted to charge me over $200 just for one of the lights(I know it's a LOT more for you second gen folk) then $130.25 for both is a pretty good deal. And that price includes shipping and handling.

I just wanted to let you guys in on a psoitive experience I have had with my Trep.

p.s. The car looks so EVIL with these new lenses :)

I heard that was one of the complaints about the 1st gen Intrepids was the dim light output of the headlights. I am sure a few aftermarket companies have addressed that with better ones than the factories.

Sorry I didn't get back to you guys, i forgot about this thread :p

OK I am utterly pleased with the new headlights. About 6 months ago I got 85watt/100watt super whites and I wasn't really impressed with their brightness. The super whites have a lot of trouble getting through that haze. But now with the crystal clear new lenses and the super whites EVERYONE thinks I have HID lights. They are as bright as my buddies brand new 325Ci Beemer(yes the one in the pictures).

Here is the e-mail address of the guy i bought them from:

[email protected]

and here is a link to the auction so you can see the lights and what I got them for:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=593666326&r=0&t=0

You can buy them outright(without bidding) for like $130, but then you have to add in tax and shipping and handling. If I were you guys I would look his name up on ebay. he is a retailer so he has a lot of these sales. Or just e-mail him and mention you know me and the deal he cut me. He was col and would probably do it.

If you aren't happy with your current light output or the way they look, I strongly recommend this upgrade. Totally worth the $130

Eh..I leave my GTS headlight covers on day/night and drive with them on at night. I shoudln't, but I don't feel like poppin the hood every night to take them off.

And believe me..high-beams on underneath those look like lows. My foglights are fogged over, though, not the headlights. I shouldg get some of them.
