I am about to make a very long drive in my 2001 R/T. My problem is I have a piston skirt "knocking". I know most people will say "don't do it", but I have no choice. My question is...should I stop every so often and let the engine "rest" or should I just take it as easy as possible and use the "go or blow" philosophy? I would really appreciate any advise people have on this. My mechanic says he has no idea if the car will make it or not.
