not sure if anyone remembers me(been a while since i posted) but my problem is this. i'm in the navy stationed in italy. i have a 95 es that is leaking fuel on top of the motor. i understand that there is a recall for the fuel rails or something. now, i dont have a local dodge dealer to go to and am having a hard time finding a point of contact from chrysler on this. my questions would be: do i buy new fuel rails from parts store on line and pay an italian to instal then send in the receipt dodge to be reenbursed or will dodge send me a free set of rails through mail have them installed and just send them a bill for the labor expence? so if someone could please hook me up with a good point of contact via e-mail or phone i would be much appretiative. :)

I don't believe that you need a new fuel rail set. What went bad on those cars were the O-rings that connected the rails to the intake.

Tell ya what...I'm gonna be back home this weekend. I can stop by my dealership in town and ask them what they think would be the best course of action. Check this back on Saturday or so, I should know by then.

I was speaking with a Dodge dealer just yesterday about this, and they said that if they do the recall they put whole new fuel rails on the car. Although in your circumstance, they may not be inclined to send you new fuel rails. I bet ATF will have some interesting news for you when he speaks to his dealer.

Eh, see I have the 3.3 so I did not have this problem/recall. Therefore I'm not sure exactly what is replaced, though I do know it was the O-rings that were causing the problem. As Brit stated, it may be the whole rail system, but overseas shipping they may just send new O-rings. I don't think it was an issue of faulty fuel rails.

Like I said, I'll talk to them on Friday (don't think anyone will be open tomorrow) so I'll let you know.

As it turns out, if someone here has the recall sheet from the 3.5 O-Rings, there's a phone number at the bottom of the card you can call if you can't get service done from a dealership.

That'd be the phone number you want to call. Now oddly enough, the dealership didn't have the phone number, but I think there's enough 3.5 guys around here that had that done that hopefully still have that card.

As far as getting the parts, Chrysler should at least be able to send them to you if your mechanic can replace it.

Hope that helps.

I got to the dealership just as Service was going home, so I think the guy I talked to was a little rushed, but above is the jist of it.

So next question is, anyone have that recall notice?? (I have 3.3, so no luck here)
