Ok, guy's I need help with what Oil Viscosity to put in my wife's 1997 Neon with the DOHC engine. I don't have the owners manual for her, and now I'm seeing two Oil Viscosity's listed for the engine. 5W30 or 10W30. Which is the one that is specified in the owners manual for that engine. If anyone has this info please let me know.

Thanks !

Edit: Also anyone know where I can get a new owners manual on the net too, for the Neon.

you'll be fine with either one. the factory oil should be 5w-30, 10w-30 is thicker and hence raises oil pressure

thicker oil robs engine power and fuel economy that's why 5w-30 is "energy conserving II" and 10w-30 is just "energy conserving"

unless you live in a very hot climate or have a high mileage vehicle with a lot of engine wear and low oil pressure at idle use the 5w-30
