*fixed* 'new' engine in; being worked on (pics)

figured i'd have a look at the timing belt while the radiator was still out. looks nice. there's a little rust resting on the belt, but in great condition. after 5 minutes the tiny bit of rust from sitting will wear off. the belt is snug around the sprockets, so it's definately been changed recently. i see the water pump was done as well. the timing belt was probably done at the same time as the water pump or vice versa.

the picture is blurred, but the spark plugs were all clean like this. evidence of an engine that has been well taken care of. did i mention antifreeze that came out was bright green? no rust, discolouration; clean as a whistle. 170K kms and other than the outside of the engine being a little dusty, it's clean.

gas line fitting. this is why auto recyclers should be kicked in the balls. part of the engine harness was chopped and as you see here, so is the gas line fitting. i ended up cutting it half open with side cutters to get it off. after spending an absorbant amount of time on one of them, i decided to change that part of the fuel rails.

the far left and far right pipes are the ones the chopped fittings was/is on. the left one is bent below the lip while trying to force the fitting off. yes, i know, you just press down the plastic ring on the inside.... well, it gunked up well and didn't function.

the engine harness that i had to fix. each bank has a plastic casing that holds the wires and it slides over the studs. well, sometimes people shouldn't touch cars..
