I just went and picked up some APC headlights today, and wow, what a difference. They are the plasma white 80/100 watt. They cost me about $25 for the pair and that was money well spent. I turned them on when i had one APC and one Sylvania Cool Blue light in and the APC made the other look like it was yellow. It was pathetic. I cant wait till tonight to see how much brighter they are.

This pic is almost identical to the difference between my lights....

pimped - I'm glad you're pleased...hate hearing about folks who feel they waisted their money.
Just a suggestion since you've increased wattage:
Your stock 65W bulbs drew probably around 10 amps which would require 16 gauge wire. Your new 100 watt bulbs will be drawing closer to 17 amps, which will require 12 gauge wire.
I have heard of folks running these hi-watt lights with no problem w/o upgrading their wiring, but to be safe, I'd suggest you preriodically check your wires at the bulbs to see if they're getting hot (grab the wire and see if you can hang on). If they are getting hot, it's not really a big deal add relays and big meaty wire to feed your lights.
Engine compartment fires on the side of the expressway are no fun from what I've heard.

well i tried these new bulbs out on the highway and, damn! these things arent even comparable to my other lights. these APC's give way more visibilty and i love the look of the white/blue beam they emit.

i had the high wattage bulbs also, melted teh connections inside teh turn singla, high-bema low beam unit, the posts for low beams and i forgt the other one melted so i only had high-beams, not fun, lol

maybe i can get lucky and the cold weather will prevent that....doubt it will help any but i can wish cant i?
