2002 intrepid 150k runs "super" / unquote. scenario: first start of the day (perfect) 21 miles to work cruise set 70 mph. Has been known to shut off mid trip. (mostly in summer) otherwise... no apparent reason. get to work 20 - 30 minutes later going to leave VERY hard start. (always starts.) BUT... no cruise functions, and the infamous "exactly" 2400 rpm cutting out!? have replaced cam n crank sensors, pigtails w/ soldered connections, with no change. Few hours later starts fine and scenario begins again. GREAT car!!! LOVE it! getting discouraged. LARGE local Dodge dealer.... (no help)

Welcome.

You'll find it helpful to post in one thread about a particular problem. Rather than make multiple posts in multiple threads. People tend to ignore you if you do that.

Fuel pressure checks fine! thought about that as well. maybe the fuel pump had to pump up pressure!?... but wasn't it! its the exactness of the 2400 rpms and the consistency of the times it messes up that is mind boggling. A major dealership, 3 different shops and some "Damn Good" back yardmasters all drawing a blank!! :( EVERYTHING points to cam sensor. butt?.... 2 defective ones back to back?
