Just wanted to say hi. I'm new to the forum and also a new Inrepid owner. Just bought a 01 Bridgewater Blue 2.7L SE car for my wife last week. We both love the car, and it is one of the best looking cars on the road (we think). I've been checking the website for the last few day's and have read several interesting messages, and have learned alot already about our Intrepid. Well, look forward to posting again.

I am also new to the Intrepid world!!! I just picked up a 2001 Silver Intrepid R/T with leather. This was an upgrade from my 99' Stratus I just traded in. I also have a 96' Dodge Neon ACR, nicely modified, used to have other MOPARS such as 84' Dodge 600, 86' Dodge Charger Shelby Turbo, and 86' Omni GLHS. I also own a 70' AMC AMX with a 390 four speed currently under restoration. I really love the Intrepid though and would like to find an air intake for it and possibly a computer upgrade. Since the exhaust is stainless, I probably won't touch that. I am also interested in learning how many R/T's were made in 2001? Thanks

Good choice! Congrats..hope you continue to enjoy the vehicles for a long time. I sure have. My '95 ES was really nice..however my wife wanted to go with something 'sportier' so we got a '99 Avenger.....mistake...now it's the '01 'Trep' R/T...we're both very satisfied....welcome to this great forum! :D

Great Choice in picking the Intrepid. I've loved mine since the day I got it in 98 and still havent had any noteable problems. I hope you new owners find your cars to be as satisfying as mine has been, cuz if you do then you'll be a happy camper. :D

Mopar Andy: I have the same exact car. I love it. Im not sure how many R/Ts were made... but its very rare I see one on the road... at least in NYC. Just about everything ive seen here are Intrepid SE and ES models... which I see plenty of.

My days of hauling children to the park and playground are over! I traded in my big old 93 Chevy 7 passenger Conversion Van for a sleek and stylish 98 Intrepid in Champagne Gold....Its like going from a donkey cart to a 747. I'm looking forward to future customization---anyone have a car mp3 player? Is it connected to the crappy factory speakers? ;)

I'm waiting for an MP3 player that can be loaded via an 802.11b wireless network. Then I don't have to do much work to load songs into the player :D

No more lugging CD's or hardrives from my house to the car!! Too bad it doesn't exist yet :(

Oh I'm sure that with a little work a car audio wireless lan could be set up. Then we could all download songs as we pass eachother on the highway

Seriously though.. if you used a laptop and rigged the stereo into the sound output somehow you could just drop a wireless NIC in at and slap an AP into you garage. Just wire it into you home network then. Wala lol

You wouldn't need an access point in the garage for this. Tthe one you have elswhere in your house should worki just fine. Mine works to the end of my driveway.

Anyways, I'd rather not have to use a laptop for this, I would rather have a dedicated device :)

Crutchfield has some car MP3 player (can't remember the brand)that uses a memory stick that hold a couple hours of music. I kinda like the sound of that...you don't have to keep burning CD's...just download a bunch of stuff you feel like listening to that day...then erase it and download some more tomorrow.

yeah, but when u get 10-14 hours of MP3 music on a CD, ya probably only need a couple Cd's

as for the memory stick, thats probably the Sony unit since it's their invention.
