Just picked this up for $1500 cash. Second owner 118k miles. Runs about 17mpg. AC is cold. Car has a weird black oil leak, but the oil on the dipstick is fresh. Not sure about that.

But anyway....

Looking for feedback on wheels. What looks good on these??

Also, the front bumper and nose of the hood is faded so I was thinking of ordering a mask for it. Anyone know how those would look?

I drove an intrepid back in the late 90's and liked it alot. I'm really enjoying this one. I heard it runs better on Champion Copper Plus spark plugs, so I'm going to check on that this weekend.

Any other valuable feedback or tips is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks. Yes I've noticed that. I have seen a few pics of charger wheels on some. My stocks are "OK" but need to be recleared. I'm thinking of painting them. But I'm considering some center black with chrome lips. Haven't seen one like that yet.

Sweet First Gen! Yes Champions are great for these cars, as well are NGKs. If you can give me a location on the ground relative to the car I can help with that leak. Otherwise Welcome!

If you must change them, 300M special rims look pretty nifty! (do mind this Trep has Eibach Lowering springs on it)

Reason I bought this Intrepid is because I sold my Cutlass. With the money I got for it I bought my daughter her first car. I have a little saved up and I was able to get my 96.

Gotta keep the kids happy, but I sure did like this Cutlass.

So the leak seems to have been very slight until his week. I had a mechanic replace the oil pan gasket and that didn't fix it. I been driving it and adding a quart between oil changes.

Here's a pic. I don't think it's the valve covers. Seems to be coming from behind the crank. There's like a cover over the crank....Any thoughts????

I would say something along the lines of front Crank Seal.
