well its 11pm on a snowy chilly night and my buddy wants to take his 05 avalanche through my dads field. i asked my pops and he said sure but i am not waking up to pull you out. of course we aren't worried, there's only and inch or two of snow. we whip around for about 10 minutes just fine and then he tries to ride out a drainage....bad idea....gets buried about a foot deep. we think no big deal we can pull it out.
all we had at the time was another friends blazer that wasn't going to cut it so he called his older brother and asked to borrow his duramax diesel. we get it out there, strap it up and let er wrip to no avail. we give up and decide to get out of there but of all things, the duramax gets stuck. by this time we realized how dumb it was to do this when below this snow was no frosted ground, just mud.:doh::doh::doh:
my bud with the avalanche calls 2 guys he works with with a F-250 and a Silverado. the F-250 tries to pull us out but stops before he himself gets stuck. the guy with the Silverado just laughs at our predicament. finally my friends have had enough and they call a tow truck with a 100 ft winch......guess what happens.....the tow truck gets in the field, realizes hes too heavy for the ground a little too late and gets stuck too. at this point im in disblief how everything that could go wrong went wrong and now i have to make the walk of shame to wake my pops up at 2am so he can help.
understandably, he is mad but too tired to yell at me thank god. he fires up the tractor and pulls out the tow truck, the duramax, and the avalanche within 20 minutes. so it is now 230am, my friend thinks he has frostbite, my dad is pissed off and we all feel like dumbasses. i take myself to bed, my one friend takes the muddy duramax home to his older brother and my buddy with the avalanche takes it to a self car wash to get the mud off before it freezes........what a night.

Ha ha I have a similar story but it has to do with an 84 lumber delivery truck and 2 tow trucks and some guys Chevy truck. It started with the guy the 84 lumber truck was dropping a load and got stuck so a tow truck came to get him out and it got stuck. Well they sent out another tow truck to get that one and that one got stuck. So now everybodies mad and me and my step dad have to grab a strap and go out to where they were because my step dad drove truck for them too. So the guy in the Chevy truck tries to pull them out and gets stuck so then they finally sent in a huge tow truck and got them all out.

hmmmm. All you needed next was to get a Peterbilt 379 w/ a 54' trailer stuck and I would say that you would've covered all of the bases, lol. Sorry man, rough night...errr, early morning.
