I have a '97 3.5L converting to auto stick. I have wires 5 and 44 and got the TCM hooked up, but I cannot find a harness to the shifter for the life of me! There is one wire running behind the shifter but it goes underneath the carpet on both sides, seems like its running from one side of the car to the other, and is considerably larger than the harness remenants going into the shifter. What gives? I checked near the parking brake, searched all over the forums, and even began to tear out the center console and some drivers floor carpeting. I can't find the connection anywhere. Everythings already attached except the harness to the shifter, if I could find it.

5 and 44 never make it into the car through the harness. Traced 5 to fusebox.

I see the wires coming from the connector going into the harness! They just don't seem to go into the car. Any ideas? How is the wire routed through the cabin to the shifter?

OK, now I'm running wires to tap into those already on the harness at the connector (TCM). How do I get these wires into the cabin?
