I've been reading in differents threads about options for geeting an OBD scanner, it appear that there's a lot of information about OBD II standard.

I'm not shure if my trep (1995 3.3L) is using and OBD II interface or OBD I. I took a look at the connector and it does not have 16 pins on it.

Does anybody knows what kind of scanner should I use with a first Generation 1995 trep ??

Thank you!.

There is not one available for purchase with the 1995 models short of the Dodge/Chrysler built one. There were very few cars in 1995 that had the connector available.

It's ODB1 and the unit to test it with your laptop is avaliable but very hard to find. I have the PC connect one for the my 99 Trep which I love. The one for my 95 was 4 or 5 times more so I didn't buy it.

I bought an "Auto X Ray" OBD I scanner with Chrysler cable on eBay for use on my 95 LHS and 92 Caravan. Cables for other cars are available as is a upgrade to OBD II. Just my $0.02.
