Can someone with a 1995 Dodge Intrepid 3.3L please tell me if their computer scanner connector under the steering wheel is OBD1 or OBD2?? ive been told its 1 by some and 2 by others.

I need a SURE answer.

It's OBD 1. 1996-97 are OBD 2. That's why you only got 2 O2 sensor's, not 4 of them like the 96-97 models.

Should be OBD-I. But, your car is at the cutoff, so you may want to double check (look at the data connector, check for the second set of O2 sensors).

Thanks, i tried telling 2 different people that an they insisted that it was OBD II and the 2nd guy over at AAMCO was the worst, he was like no such thing was OBD1 and sounded all cocky, i finally just said ok, and hung up the phone, lol.

Anyone know of any place besides the dealer to get the codes scanned for cheap including the TCM?

can someone show me a pic of the OBDII and OBD 1 connector just to make sure? my car is stuck miles away and i cant check right now, but i remember by sight what it looked like.

You will most likely have to go to the dealer for a detailed scan.

OBD-II is 16 pin. 2 rows of 8.

OBD-I on the Intrepid is 6 pin. 2 rows of 3. Blue rectangle connector that swings out.

Unless you need TCM data, there's always key forward 3 times check.

Too bad i need TCM data, Does anyone know if TCM data resets on a disconnected battery? My dumb butt took off the batter terminal and lost the codes to the main computer.

This should help. It's for a 1994 but should be the same. The Data Link Connector is in the top 1/3 Center of the picture. 4 wires going to the PCM on the Left Side.

wait wut? key forward three times what? can check CEL codes in the 1.5 OBD cars this way? really? well damnit i been trying to find out how to chekc codes in this 93 for like 6 years.... the hell.. eventually found out it was map sensor though.

To whom it may concern. I have a 94 and 97 Chrysler Intrepid. 1995 is OBD1. Just so you know. The 93 to 97 LH plate form can accommodate the Ferrari 348 and 355 engine cradle. So if you live in a non-smog state you might want to transform to rear mid engine.
