Interesting read....I do use synthetic Mobil 1 5W30 and change it every 6000 miles. What does everybody out there do ??

I use Valvoline "old-style" 10-30 in my 97,changin it every 3000 miles, and she has 72K miles on her...will switch to Valvloine max life shortly..at 1.27 qt, not a large investment for piece of mind...
...I use Pennzoil synthetic in my NEW truck...wouldn't go any other way in a new vehicle...ya can't go wrong w/Mobil 1

Up here in Ontario Canada the Mobil 1 sells for about $5.49 to $6.49 a litre. 5 litres required for the oil change plus the filter.
So since I extend it, it costs about the same. The oil gets to be a dark brown colour but not burnt. Kinda like a nice dark beer!!
