My idle has been getting pretty bad lately and I'm having a harder time starting the car as well. I was blaming the 7 years old battery for the slow starts and today checked all the vaccuum hoses for leaks and was going to change the plugs and clean the IAC sensor to try to fix the idle.

When I pulled the plugs (only 10,000 miles on them) several of them looked kind dark, almost burnt (worse than my last set which were in the car for who knows how long but far more than 10K)

What really troubles me though is that one of the plugs was soaked in oil. Can anyone tell me what I am dealing with and how bad it is. Am I going to need a repair soon and is it going to cost me big?
Car is a 97 3.5L with 60,000 miles

not at the moment...but I'm holding on to them so if I can borrow a digital camera in the future I might be able to. Can't really say if or when that will happen though.
