I am not to sure if this applies to the Intrepid, but here is what the Es means for the DSM's
ES - Edition Sport (this is a unique one ...Chrysler introduced the 'ES' designation on the Dodge Daytona as an alternative to differentiate themselves from the growing popularity of 'SE' by other manufacturers)
I do beleive that the Se is for the Standarad Edition possibly

Sounds kinda french to me 96Trep. L'edition sport ou l'edition sportif.
My ex-1992 Eagle Premier ES Limited is probably where Intrepid took the designation. I know I have the original brochure but don't fret guys, I think it could be eurosedan or eurosport, in that order.
