Please Help

Alright, last night for the first time in 3 years, something is going on with my car. I went to start it, and it had a hard time starting, like kept clicking then finally started. but the engine light went on. SO i shut if off, try to start it again, after a few seconds of holding the key over, it went, engine light still on. Took it for a drive gave her some gas, and it like jumped, like it wasent getting gas.

it's a 2000 intrepid 154,000km 2.7

anyone have any idea what could be up?

the codes im getting are..
P1684 - 1684 The battery has been disconnected within the last 50 starts.
P0340 - 340 No camshaft signal being received by the computer

Can i buy the camshaft sensor used?

alright going to buy a new camshaft sensor... is there a how to or something to help me install it, i did a search and could not find anything

Have you disconnected the battery lately? The jumper points are known to corrode and cause a bad connection, which might be the cause of your clicking dilemna. Camshaft sensors aren't that expensive. I personally wouldn't buy a used one, but that's just me. Try the connections first.... Keep us posted!

The dealer selling price for a cam sensor is $102.

If you can find a Napa that stocks them their brand goes for about $60-.
