Well,

After spending about an hour calling local scrap car yards in the area I have found it. Most of the yards will tell you if they even have the intrepid year you are looking for but do not inventory the overhead console unit. They just tell you, "Yeah, we have some of those cars. Come on in and look if it got what you need/"
Well the local one here did not have one in the 20+ intrepids they did have wrecked but I did find one in a 98 Concord. The guy out in the yard was very helpfull too in supplying a knife to cut the headliner and a screw driver to unscrew the unit and pry it down. Biggest surprise though was back up at the front counter. Guy behind the counter asked, "Have you priced one of these out yet?" Told him no and acted dumb to the fact of reading prices from $75 to $200 in our forums. He leaves with it into an office and then back out saying, "How about $65 for the thing?" A quick YES and bill of sale and I was out the door with my booty.

Hopefully I can get to this project along with the other ones this weekend if not next week. I have the K&N filter, PIAA ION crystal fogs, overhead unit and that cone thing now for a project if only the weather would warm up a bit now.

Feel like a kid at christmas now.

THANKS SANTA!

Installing it should be a breeze. Take some pics of everything when you are done....I'm thinking of getting the lights myself.
