There is a radio fuse but pretty sure that has nothing to do with it. I would say double check that fuse and why not pull all the others just to make ure there all good takes 5 mins tops. If all fuses are good then you may have to pull up the center bezel and see what you can see as it would be a wiring issue then.

y check the radio fuse? why not check the cig lighter fuse it self? before you do anything make sure th foil is out of the cig lighter it self or it will keep blowing anyways

I dropped a penny into mine and thought that I burnt out the actual socket but I replaced it and it did not help. I might have just gotten unlucky with the junk yard one but who knows. I also replaced the fuse for the cigarette lighter and it didn't make a difference.

On my 2000 it's fuse block number 6, with two positions for the fuse depending upon whether you want power on or off with the ignition in the off position.

If the fuse is good, then you can check the following. Remove the panel under the steering column (two screws on the left side and then pull to release the clips). Be careful as you pull as the truck release switch and line will come move with the panel. You can make sure that the line is still attached and getting power on the back side of the fuse block. If power is good there, then do you get power at the connector at the back of the cigarette lighter? If so, then its the lighter socket itself.

I just replaced mine and the electrical specialistsmat the dealership said that these lighter sockets were never designed for this kind of duty. He recommended that I get a multiplug receptacle from Radio shack and leave that in the socket. I miss the three built in sockets of my Chevy Blazer.

Note I had all sorts of electrical problems that suddenly appeared. The dealership where I took it basically disconnected and then reconnected each line from the harness to the fuse block to get good connections in the system. That cured ALL the electrical problems except the lighter which I fixed this AM.

i know that on the first gens, the fuse for the horn, blinker, and cig lighter are all on the same fuse a 30 amp mini fuse i believe. It might be the same for your second. It would also be a good idea to pull the cig lighter socket out and check your wiring and contacts to see if the actual socket bit the dust. if it did autozone carries em for about 10 to 20 bucks depending on the brand.
