Is it just me,

Or does this not seem like an easy aftermarket product that has been missed by the aftermarket guru's? Since Dodge/Chrysler/Jeeps seem to all have these or at least the mounts for them plus the computers for the basic OTIS (Overhead Travel Information System) have the needed sensors already built in. Why doesn't someone make this kit? A quick browse on Ebay will show how much everyone wants one even for other types of vehicles.

Other items to note to aftermarket designers, turn signal mirrors. Made for the 300m and neons but not the LH series? Why not?

Probably because most of the LH cars that do not have one, do not have the correct body control module which is required for OTIS functions.

hmm,

Guess this should have been posted into the 2nd generation forum since it is based more on it.

That is conflicting info with what has been discussed and tried in previous discussions on this site then. The OTIS should not be confused with the OTIX which for the 300 series. The OTIS is only lights, compass, clock and guestimating guages of how much mpg you are getting. Of this type, the forum members here only used a wire from the donor car and the overhead unit to get it working. The only non-working part of the message threads I have read was about the confusion over wiring colors and what went to what. If it truely is a problem with the BCM needing replaced, how come people are not selling this unit with the console & wiring on ebay?
