Just in case anyone ever goes through what I did, and because no parts store lists direct replacements, here are the freeze plugs that worked in my 3.2.

Core / Block / Expansion / Freeze / Frost Plugs (or whatever they're decidedly called whenever you read this):
Dorman 565-028 (P28C if very old stock) - Brass 1.5" x .420" plug, about twice as tall as the stock plug but is a perfect fit, brass makes it quite a bit easier to install. The extra height (.420") of the plug also is suppose to make installing easier vs. the stock short height if you were to ever find stock sized replacements (likely from dealer). Short ones are easier to twist in the block during install.

Dorman 555-028 - Steel version of above plug

Dorman 554-028 - Steel 1.5" and somewhere between .55" and .6" I think, significantly taller than stock plug, taller than the above plugs, but no so much that it would cause interference with coolant flow from my measurements. I recommend one of the two above but this would work if its all you can find, like what happened to me.

All three are current part numbers that should be easily found online or in store, worst case by special order at a parts store. I personally highly recommend going with the brass one as it was the easiest to install and shouldn't corrode as easily as the steel (though neither should corrode with proper coolant and coolant changes).

I also highly recommend installing them with Permatex Indian Head Gasket Shellac Compound or similar gasket making material that will withstand proper pressures, temperatures, and antifreeze. Installing without anything will surely lead to leaks down the road. I coated both the hole in the block and the outside of the plug for a sure seal.
