I seriously don't think much could be done to the transmission itself. The problem is the way the power is routed with a longitudinal engine / fwd setup.

I mean, once the clutch packs locks up, unless the plantetary gears have binds / kinks in them, not much power could be lost.

But the chain drive we use, and the 180-degree power re-route, on top of the differential, eats up quite a few horses. I honestly believe the LH cars would be more efficient if they're rwd.

I wonder if anyone is the world has ever dynoed an early 3.5 Charger / 300 with the 42RLE? And for that matter, the latter 5 spds. I should check out some LX boards.
