I own a 94 Intrepid and was wondering what performance tires would best be suited for this car. My brother has a 89 Civic and he put Yokohama A520's on his rims. The most amazing tire I have ever driven on. I have tried to make his car slide with these tires and was unable to do so. I'm looking for a tire like this but that will be able to handle the weight load of an Intrepid vs a Civic.

Or does the weight load of the car not affect the tires handling?

Weight load does affect our cars they are much heaver than Honda`s. Bridgestone Potenza`s RE730 are a great tire i have them on my R/T and they are much better than the stock tires.

I have those tires and they are awsome. And they dont wear out quick i got them for $100 a piece printed the price from tire rack.com then took it to a firseston tire center and told them to match the price and they did so do that first

Yes and i dont ****ing know why. this is the only thing that pisses me off about the tires. But man is the grip awsome. and in the rain never slips just grips.

225/60/16 And they look agressive and larger too if you have youre car lowered they look awsome.

yea, those were the ones I was also thinking about getting. Great tire tread design. I think that they are like $100 each. I was also looking at the Yoko... Avid for ONLY $50 ( same size ) It is a 80,000 mile tire with a 8.0 tire rating, I think.

if ya want some good 17 inch High performance tires, try the ones i got, Dunlop SP Sport A2's. 235/55/17. They are really good in my opinion, and 119.00 each.

I'd go for Pirelli P4000's or Michelin
XGT-4's.

I've used both on 'Treps / Vision and they are excellent.
