I recently was given a Compaq Deskpro EN with a PIII 667 processor. The machine works fine, with the exception of one minor problem. Whenever I play any audio (CD, MP3, or wave ), the music plays too fast. I also noticed this with video files. Is there something I can do to slow the machine down so these files play correctly? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks....

The OS is Windows ME. Whether it is AOL,or any other app that uses sound, CD or MP3, the audio is too fast. For the CD and MP3 I am using Windows Media player.

Thanks for your help.

After searching the internet for several days, I discovered that I had loaded the incorrect audio drivers. The bad part of this is, in order to install the new drivers, I have to format the disk, install the operating system again then install the correct drivers.
