Get some good quality speakers in the doors and rear deck, and then get a 10 or 2 10's in sealed enclosure. Maybe 1 very clean sounding 12, since a 12 can bring the very low lows up alittle stronger then a 10.

Go find a sebring at the dealership with the premium stereo in it, those ****ers have really nice stereos. Or find a GM vehicle (probably a cadillac) with a bose system in it and listen to it. Thats the kind of system balance you wanna replicate.

keep in mind though, the acoustics of your car, and the acoustics of the room in which this sub is currently playing are two completely different things.

That's why there's "car" audio and "home" audio...

This is probably going to be your biggest obstacle simply because most of the "rattle" you hear in your car are things like wiring and trim that are a little less solid than the walls of your house.
