I don't know why this guy would just "let" me win, but I can't believe I have what it takes to beat a new 'vette. We were messing around climbing a hill on the interstate from 60-100 MPH. I walked on him 3 times in a row. Maybe he just didn't know how to shift? Oh, are my kills welcome here? I don't have a 'trep, or even a DC product...

Being that a C5 can run with a Ferrari and such, I would have to say he didn't know how to drive. But doesn't it feel good to say that you beat a C5??
If I didn't get a trep I probably would have seriously considered a grand prix. But let's get real dude. A C5 can do 0-60 in under 5 seconds. That ride ain't no joke. So either his car was broken, he missed EVERY SINGLE GEAR, or he wasn't racin. But don't get me wrong, I'm not knockin your car. The GTP's are pretty fast. Just not LS1 fast.

I think GM has a campaign in place to make every one of thier cars super-ugly.
Look what they did to the Bonniville, and the Impala(sacrilige). How about the Sunfire, the Aztek and the new Avalanche.

I may be wrong, but I heard that GM is starting to incorporate the stock car stereo into the onboard computer... mainly with the chimes and such. If you replace the stereo with an after market stereo, none of the chimes would work (letting you know the check engine light is on, door open, lights on, keys, etc...). Someone also mentioned that it would cause the computer to go haywire because the stereo communicates with the computer... I don't think that would happen, but that's just what someone said at a car stereo shop. They were probably just blowing smoke.

You would think that there would be some kind of adapter so an aftermarket stereo would work with the chims and stuff. And what the hell is up with all that plastic?!!
I actually think the Bonneville (only the top end model) is a good looking car. But way too expensive. Over $30K for a Pontiac? I wouldn't spend over $30K on any American car unless it had the engine driving the correct set of wheels (ie:rear) and it said Corvette or Cobra across the back of it. I heard that GM is putting alot into the 2002 Bonneville to rescue it from it's horrible sales slide from the last Gen.
Yes, the '03 GP is ugly. I pray the pics were just from poor angles or something, but I fear the worst.
But I have to stick up for my car, and GTP's in general here. Yeah, you saw the shots also of the red 2003 they showed at that Pontiac conference? The pics weren't all that great, but it was enough to see that really odd looking front end with the gargantuan nostrils that drooped waaaaaay down. Hmmmm...I wonder what Pontiac is thinking? and dropping the 2 door? Yikes..I always thought the GP was one of the finest looking midsize 2 door along with the Monte.(I am a little biased when it comes to 4 doors though! ) I know GM is looking to tone down on the brand overlap, I guess they are giving the 2 door sales to Chevy with the Monte.
So....did you ever get to do that e-brake assisted J turn in bboucher's R/T? lol Make sure you lay down a couple of nice patches... "Hmmmmm...I don't remember my tires being this bald??!!" Just kidding you bboucher! I take no responsibility for those unseated tires!

BUT ... those red guages really burn holes in my eyes. No kidding, that is my major complaint about that brand of GM cars. There is no doubt that GM builds some strong almost bulletproof engines, but why that red/orange? That alone kept me from a GP or Bonneville with a SC. Oh well, I'll get my butt dusted so I can look at my white/day black/night guages.
